A Message to the Students

<Seek the knowledge to wander happily in the unstable darkness>
You must consider the "wisdom" you are to acquire after college as something that is drifting unsteadily. The knowledge presented in high school or in some classes in college may have appeared to you as a very stable and vivid explanation. However, the university is an environment in which you can throw yourself into the sensation of wandering (drifting) in instability with the professors who are confronting the darkness and chaos that lies beyond the reach of these explanations. If you can acquire the ability to think about how to move your internal world in response to this, I believe it will be invaluable "wisdom" for your life.

Failure is a learning experience. While it is a standard practice in RPGs for characters to gain experience by defeating enemies, but as a player, the moment when you gain the most learning experience is when you are defeated by an enemy. When a player has prepared countermeasures, and confronts and defeats that enemy once again, he or she will hear the fanfare of the player's level up. In your college life, try new things, fail, and learn a lot. And if you fail, please share it with others as much as you can. If you share your failures, they can be a benefit to the people around you. Today is the perfect day to try and fail again for tomorrow and beyond.

<Our fields are full of challenges, calling for solutions>
There are no academic boundaries in the real field of our research activities. Challenges continue to emerge in the field on a daily basis. What we need is the synthetic approach of science, engineering, and philosophy. Through the curriculum of our faculty, we hope to be an energetic cheerleader and supporter for you, who will take your place in the field of project/activity and fly out into the world with both your scientific and engineering eyes and your own philosophy!

<See you at FGSS ;-)>
Our faculty (FGSS: Faculty of Global Science Studies) offers a place where you can seriously devote yourself to something, a mechanism to enjoy your student life, and a system to learn many things. We are seriously waiting for students who want to experience all of these things to the fullest. Can’t wait to see you at FGSS!
