Short biography

I previously taught English at the Kanazawa Institute of Technology. Since 2005 I have been in charge of courses related to English at Yamaguchi University. I have taught courses such as English conversation, English composition, conditions in Britain and America, multicultural communication, and advance guidance prior to overseas training. Moreover, I have managed and supported Yamaguchi University’s short-term English training programs in Newcastle (Australia) and London in the past, and its current short-term English training program in Regina (Canada) as well. At present, in addition to classes for the four skills of reading, writing, speaking, and listening, I am also in charge of TOEIC and TOEFL test preparation classes. I am proactively promoting the internationalization of Yamaguchi University over numerous different facets. I support exchanges with partner universities, and also assist with tasks like English translation for Yamaguchi University. I am studying ways of improving our curriculum for English education.

A Message to the Students

I help the students to learn communication skills using English through fun and effective class work. When it comes to learning English, students tend to feel that they aren’t very good at it. But now, as globalization continues to advance, the ability to converse in English will serve you as a major advantage (strength) in your future. Of course, you will also make more friends with it and be able to preemptively prevent problems caused by misunderstandings due to language. So why not come to Yamaguchi University and acquire English communication skills?
